Head of Data & Insights
Architect the "Single Source of Truth" that powers our next league of growth
The Ardoq Story
Ardoq is one of Norway’s most exciting scale-ups - a truly global company built out of Oslo. We are a SaaS platform that helps organizations understand, manage, and evolve their complex digital landscape. By providing a dynamic, collaborative "digital twin" of their business, we connect systems, people, and processes to drive better decision-making and accelerate digital transformation.
Today, we help some of the world’s most complex organizations (like ExxonMobil and British Telecom) gain clarity in a changing world. We are backed by leading global tech investors, including EQT and One Peak.
About the role
Your mission is to transform fragmented data into a trusted, high-impact asset. As a technical leader, you will view data as a product and a strategic lever for our next league of growth. At Ardoq, we value autonomy and psychological safety; you will have the influence to shape our strategy and the ownership to see it through.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Vision & Ownership: Shape and own the data and insights strategy.
Business Partnership: Act as a high-impact partner to leaders in the company, proactively translating ambiguous business challenges into structured data and analytics initiatives.
Architecting Truth: Build and maintain a governed "Single Source of Truth" that ensures data integrity for decision-making, product development, and scaling of internal AI initiatives.
Product Collaboration: Partner with product teams to embed data into product discovery, prioritization, and delivery, ensuring insights and analytics directly support our roadmap and company priorities.
Leadership & Mentorship: Build a high-performance data culture, providing mentorship to a specialized team of Data Engineers and Data Scientists, ensuring clear accountability and collective success.
Drive AI Opportunities: Maintain a deep curiosity about AI trends, proactively testing how emerging tools can transform internal operations and data quality.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a collaborator who balances deep technical domain expertise with the ability to communicate business value.
Scaling Expertise: You have a proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams. You have experience building a data function within a high-growth environment, evolving a team from tactical delivery to a mature, strategic function.
Strategic Influence: You can translate complex technical concepts into actionable plans while protecting your team’s focus and securing cross-functional alignment
Data & Product Maturity: You are accountable for advancing the maturity of our data pipelines, platforms, and governance, and for embedding data-driven thinking into how we operate, prioritize, and build products.
Modern Stack Proficiency: You are comfortable designing, building, and maturing cloud-based data pipelines, with experience in ETL/ELT and modern analytics stacks. Experience with tools such as AWS, Redshift, dbt, and Superset is a strong advantage. A background in Data Engineering is a plus.
AI-First Vision: You understand how robust data architecture and quality enable advanced modeling and predictive insights.
The "Ardoq Way"
We live by three core values that define how we work and treat each other:
Brave: We are "bold with heart." We take risks, but we do it with empathy.
Driven: we act like owners. If this company were yours, you’d know exactly what to do.
Caring: We care enough to be candid. We deliver direct, kind, and constructive feedback to help each other grow.
